Capital of Austria Vienna, situated in the heart of Europe, but not only famous for its culture, palaces, wine, and the Spanish Riding School. Did you know it was General Patton/USA who saved those lovely horses in WW II from being retained by former Jugoslavia? This picture and more about this story can be seen at the Riding-School museum.

One can find all these organisations in Vienna (stated 2004): United Nations headquarters at UN City, where also the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) has its office. Others include the UN Office for Outer Space, and the UN Office on Drugs and Crime. The Organisation of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) holds special consultative meetings with their Oil ministers of the cartel to adjust quotas and discuss output. The sessions are of vital interests to the United States. Also in Vienna is the headquarters for the Organisation for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) with its 55 members including the USA and Canada. It holds weekly meetings in the Hofburg palace.
